SISTER ELEANOR F. O'MALLEY

Sister Eleanor O’Malley, known in religious life as Sister Mary Honora, died July 7, 2022 at Henry Heywood Hospital Gardner, MA.

She was born on July 24,1940 in Clinton, MASSACHUSETTS, the daughter of Peter F. and Eleanor (Zickell) O’Malley.

Eleanor entered religious life on September 15,1961. She taught at Holy Family Elementary and High Schools in Fitchburg and St. Leo’s School in Leominster before beginning ministry as an adult religious educator on both the parish and diocesan levels.

Sister is pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers, Peter and Michael.                                                 In addition to the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, she leaves a nephew, nieces, grand and great-grand nieces and Nephews.

Sister Eleanor’s funeral service will be held July 16, 2022 at Presentation Convent Chapel, 99 Church St. Leominster, MA @ 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery Fitchburg.
