Nilda L. Rodriguez, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 28, 2024. She lived a beautiful life and left everyone she met with an unforgettable feeling in their heart as an encourager and a warrior.
Nilda was born on March 10, 1957, in Juncos, Puerto Rico the daughter of Francisco Gonzalez and Saturnina Marin.
She lived in Puerto Rico until her 18th birthday and then emigrated to Leominster with her husband Jose Rodriguez Cruz where she lived most of her years in search of a better life.
Before finishing her employment career at Keystone Center, Nilda worked at the old Tilton Cook, followed by several years at Victory Button/ Tamor Plastics with Jose Rodriguez Cruz, who she enjoyed, over 40 years of marriage. Jose predeceased her in 2018 at the age of 62.
She leaves behind two children, Jose Rodriguez and his wife Maria Lozada of Fitchburg, MA and Rosalie Alves and her husband Jaziel Alves of Hubbardston, MA, 4 grandchildren, Kaelan Rodriguez, Yazmin Rodriguez, Javian Alves, Lyric Alves.
Nilda loved her family deeply, always enjoying vacations to her native Puerto Rico, and Chicago where she spent time reconnecting with her brothers and sisters, as well as extended family. Nilda also loved her church family. She was a founding member of La Iglesia de Dios, Inc in Fitchburg, MA where she served faithfully as a prayer warrior and part of church leadership for many years.
