Marianna (Dinardo) Harris

Marianna (DiNardo)  Harris passed away on Saturday October 30th after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.    Marianna was the youngest of six children born to Michelina and Pasquale DiNardo. Her parents came to this country from Corfinio, Italy and settled in Leominster. She was a lifelong resident of Leominster and lived in the house in which she was born. She was employed as a cook at the Fairlawn Nursing Home in Leominster for many years.  She loved to bake. Her family were the grateful recipients of all she made, especially her apple pies.  No one except her sister Rena could match her energy and they could often be seen walking all over Leominster. She was a voracious reader and would go through at least a book a month.  She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Bert Henry Harris, “the boy next door” and her siblings Rena, Alice (Swimmer), John, William, and Frank.

Marianna leaves behind her two sons, Bradford Harris and his wife Mary of Ashburnham, and Douglas Harris and his wife Michelle of West Boylston.  She also leaves behind her six grandchildren, Mariena, Katherine, Danielle, Rebecca, Michael, and Timothy who were the joy of her life and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  

 

Marianna (Dinardo) Harris: Funeral Services will be held on Friday (November 5) at 11:00 AM in Curley Marchand Funeral Home, 89 West St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery Leominster. Calling Hours at the Funeral Home will be on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM
