Maryjo Crowley, 78, loving mother and grandmother, longtime educator, and faithful member of St. Leo’s Parish, died peacefully on Saturday, May 24 surrounded by family. Maryjo was born in Leominster to Richard and Mary Williams and is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Daniel Crowley. Together they raised four children: Michael (Shirley), David (Christina), Cathleen (Charles), and Peter (Gene). She was a proud and steady presence in the lives of her six grandchildren, Grace, Thomas and Matthew Crowley, Jacob and Keira Mok, and Lila Crowley, who brought her great joy.
Maryjo spent her career in elementary education for the town of Lunenburg and especially valued her work in special education later in her career. She was an active member of St. Leo’s Parish, where she participated fully in parish life and helped organize the St. Vincent de Paul food ministry.
Maryjo will be remembered for enjoying a good laugh and a full table, and for taking care of the things that mattered most – her husband, children and, especially, her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Leo’s Parish.
