IRVING PHILLIP SHATTUCK JR.

Irving Shattuck Jr. died Saturday December 9th, 2023 at the age of 82.  

Irving was born in Fitchburg on November 10, 1941 to Irving and Helen (Morrilly) Shattuck.  Irving is survived by his sister  Carolyn and her husband Bernard Forget.  Irving's sister Patricia was married to Steven St Jean before her passing.  

Irving graduated from St Bernard's High School in 1959.  He served in the Navy until he returned to attend Fitchburg State College.  After graduating,  he began teaching at Waltham Public Schools.  He continued to teach there until his retirement.  

Irving was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Rowland with whom he has 4 children.  He is survived by his son, Philip Shattuck and his wife Diane (Dunn) Shattuck, daughter Katherine Shattuck-Niemi and her husband Eric Niemi, and daughter Pamela Orsini and her husband Thomas Orsini.  Irv was predeceased by his son Robert Shattuck.  

Irving loved his 6 grandchildren - Samantha and Jessica Shattuck, Erin and Emily Niemi, and Adam and Brian Orsini.  

In addition, Irving has 5 nieces and nephews - Beth, Michael, Stephen, Kristen and Jeffrey.  

Calling hours will be Thursday December 14, 2023 from 9:30 - 10:30 , in THE CURLEY MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 89 West St. Leominster, followed by 11:00 Mass at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St. Leominster,  with burial to follow at St Leo's Cemetery
