FRANKLIN RODRIGUEZ Obituary

Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Franklin Rodriguez, 51, born on May 20, 1974 in Ponce, Puerto Rico passed away  on August 2, 2025 in Fitchburg, MA.

Franklin attended Leominster High School in 1989. Throughout his time, Franklin worked as a crew member at  St. Bernard Cemetery as for close to two decades. In July 2022, he became Lead Facilities Technician at Taravista Behavioral Center. Frankie's boss, Sheila, had mentioned that he was an honorable man who loved his family very much. She expressed he was an exceptional employee, and attempted to promote him further, but he expressed to her that he didn’t want management because it would take away time from his family.

Franklin leaves behind his loving family. Franklin was a dedicated father to his daughter Edessa Rodriguez, 28, and to Alexzandro, 15, who he considered and cared for as a son since the young age of 2, as well as loving grandfather to two loving grandchildren, Auriella Alexandra Quero, 8, and Simon Bolivar Quero III, 6. Franklin was a great son to Iris Quiles and the late Franklin J. Rodriguez. He was also an amazing and supportive brother to Alexandra Rodriguez (sister), Adam Rodriguez (brother), Jessica Rodriguez (sister), and Jennifer Rodriguez (sister) but he was beloved by his countless nieces and nephews, Raymond Colon Jr, Asia Colon, Franklin Mane Jr, Adam Rodriguez Jr, Kayden Rodriguez, Dillon Rodriguez, Jenaveeve Rodriguez, Neveah Rodriguez, Khalissie Rodriguez, Marielis Carballo, Nagendelis Caraballo, Julian Caraballo, Jasmine Batista. He was a steady presence and a cherished guide—his wisdom, warmth, and gentle humor will echo through our memories for years to come. Franklin also leaves behind son in-law, Simon B. Quero Jr.

As a skilled lead technician and dedicated father and grandfather, it was clear that besides his greatest joy in life being his daughter and grandchildren, Franklin took extreme pride and joy in riding his motorcycle.

Franklin was known for his infectious laugh and kind heart. Franklin brought warmth and generosity to every room he entered. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met and held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. Always the one we turned to, his guidance, strength, and presence will be deeply missed.

"Though his time with us was far too brief, his impact on our lives will be felt forever and never forgotten"
