FRANCIS MICHAEL JOSEPH

Leominster- Francis Michael Joseph, 87, passed away peacefully after a short illness on December 25th, 2021. His five children were all able to speak with him before he passed on Christmas Day.

Francis was born in Fitchburg on January 30th , 1934 and was the son of the late Louis and Catherine (Noory) Joseph. He married Iginia Rose Coppola on September 24, 1955 and were married for 66 years before she passed. Francis was very active in his parish of St Leo’s in Leominster as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. He was also active in St Leo’s Boy Scout Troop, and St Vincent DePaul Society. Francis was also a member of the Fitchburg Knights of Columbus Council 99 and the Faithful Admiral Bishop Beaven Assembly 0396 as a 4th degree Knight.

He worked for General Electric for more than 40 years as a draftsman engineer retiring at age 60 so he and his wife, whom he adored, could travel the world and they had 20 years to do it all.

He leaves behind 5 children, Kathleen (Joseph) Jordan, of Westminster Ma., Michael (Meg) Joseph of Nashua NH, Donna (Joseph) Martin (Glen), of Austin TX., Stephen Joseph of Jackson GA,. Brian (Dawn) Joseph of Northville MI. He is also survived by eleven Grandchildren, and fifteen Great Grandchildren.

He is also survived by 3 sisters, Elizabeth, Margaret and Sandra.

FRANCIS MICHAEL JOSEPH- Mr. Joseph’s funeral will be held on Friday December 31st with a Mass at 11 am in St. Leo’s Church on 108 Main St, Leominster Ma. Burial will follow at St Leo’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the Curley Marchand Funeral Home, 89 West St Leominster, MA, on Friday December 31st from 9-10:30 am. There will be no collation following the burial. We ask that all who attend the wake and funeral to please wear masks.
